Just finished watching the third and final series of Love My Way. Arguably the best Australian television show I’ve watched, I think.
Apart from Ben Mendelsohn - who I cannot stand - being in it, and the character (and actress) of Katie, I can’t fault it. Totally unpredictable, so honest and relatable and written and directed fabulously. I also want to marry the location scout. Sounds cliché but it really is an emotional rollercoaster which sucks you into the lives of some very ordinary and some very damaged individuals (may or may not have copy-pasted that off IMDB haha). Claudia Karvan and Asher Keddie are the standouts in an ensemble cast whose acting is truly faultless. And oh man, THAT episode, I have never felt anything like it while watching a television show or film and probably won’t again. I felt like I was actually grieving.
All in all, a show which totally blew me away and was not what I was expecting at all. Australian drama at its finest, I can’t believe I haven’t watched it before now.
